Nur-Sultan, November 27, House of Mazhilis. Chairman of the Mazhilis Nurlan Nigmatulin at the international parliamentary conference “Institute of presidency: Kazakhstan model” organized by the Mazhilis on the eve of the Day of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, held a number of bilateral meetings.
Issues of strengthening inter-parliamentary cooperation were discussed during the talks between Nurlan Nigmatulin and Deputy Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Levent Gök.
Noting the special nature of relations between Kazakhstan and Turkey, the Chairman of the Mazhilis stressed the exceptional role of the First President of our country Nursultan Nazarbayev in strengthening and developing comprehensive cooperation.
The interlocutors noted the need to expand the Kazakh-Turkish cooperation as an important component of the interaction of the Turkic countries.
The deepening of traditionally fraternal relations with the Kyrgyz people, including at the inter-parliamentary level, was discussed at a meeting with the Vice-Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh of Kyrgyzstan Aida Kasymalieva.
Noting that the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev is on a state visit to Kyrgyzstan, Nurlan Nigmatulin stressed that the parliamentarians will ensure the implementation of the agreements of the heads of the two states at the legislative level.
Chairman of the Mazhilis, during meetings with Vice-President of the National Assembly of Bulgaria Veselin Mareshki and leader of the parliamentary group for cooperation “Kazakhstan-Serbia” Dragomir Karić, expressed confidence that the practice of regular meetings of parliamentarians will promote the exchange of experience in legislative work and matters of mutual interest to the peoples of Kazakhstan and Balkan region.
