NIGMATULIN Nurlan Zayrullaevich
Chairman of Mazhilis of Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan
He was born in 1962 in Karagandy, graduated from Karagandy Polytechnic Institute, PhD in political science. After graduation, he worked as an engineer, head of the motor convoy of the Enterprise “Karagandaoblgaz”.

In 1985-1990, he was First Secretary of the Leninist Young Communist League (Komsomol) of Kazakhstan deputy head of the Department of Komsomol organizations of the Central Committee of Youth of Kazakhstan, secretary and first secretary of the Karagandy Lenin Regional Committee of Youth of Kazakhstan.

In 1990-1993, Chairperson of the Committee of youth organizations of Kazakhstan.

In 1993-1995, President of the Kazakh-American Joint Venture “Tengri”.

From 1995 to 1999, State inspector, deputy head of Organizational-Control Department of the Executive Office of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In 1999-2002, deputy Akim of Astana.

From 2002 to 2004 – Vice-minister of transport and communications of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

From 2004 to 2006 – Deputy head of the Executive Office of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

From 2006 to 2009 – Akim of Karagandy oblast.

From 2009 to 2012 – First deputy Chairperson of the People’s Democratic Party “Nur Otan”.

From 20 January 2012 to 3 April 2014, chairperson of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan of the Fifth Convocation, head of the faction of the People’s Democratic Party “Nur Otan” in the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

From 3 April 2014 to 21 June 2016, head of the Executive Office of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

On 22 June 2016 – unanimously was elected as Chairperson of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan of the Sixth Convocation, member of the party “Nur Otan”, elected under a party-list proportional representation system.

He was awarded Orders “Kazakhstan Respublikasinin Tungysh President – Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev”, “Kurmet”, “Barys” of the II degree.
