According to Mr Tokayev, the results of talks between Presidents Nursultan Nazarbayev and Shavkat Mirziyoyev showed the historical significance of the visit.

According to Mr Tokayev: "The inter-parliamentary dimension of Kazakh-Uzbek relations will be enhanced. Parliaments of the two countries will make every effort to effectively implement the agreements reached during the visit, including ensuring proper and timely legislative support. In addition, cooperation between the senates of the two countries will contribute to strengthening ties between the regions of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan".

During the meeting, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the two countries’ senates. This document, aimed at deepening inter-parliamentary dialogue, outlines support from both parliaments in strengthening political, trade-economic, investment, cultural, and humanitarian ties. Both senates will contribute to the expansion of the legal framework for bilateral cooperation. The parties will interact to establish a legal framework to protect against global challenges and threats, the document says.
