The deputies of the Mazhilis keep the situation in the flooded regions under their control

April 9th. The deputies of the Mazhilis work in all flood-affected regions. Mazhilismen assist in the elimination of the consequences of a natural disaster, are in constant contact with residents and bring humanitarian aid.

Deputies of the Mazhilis Adil Zhubanov and Edil Zhanbyrshin met with residents of Atyrau region. Today, Zhylyoysky and Kyzylkoginsky districts remain in the flood zone in the region. To eliminate the flood, the resources of local authorities, private enterprises and the armed forces have been mobilized, regional and district headquarters are working.

– The big water has not come here for decades. Therefore, the lands were transferred to private farms, and the natural channels were closed. In addition, oil pipelines have been laid to transport oil from the sea. All this prevents the natural flow of water. Our goal now is to save the city of Atyrau from flood waters coming from Russia. To do this, the construction and strengthening of dams along the Zhaiyk River in the Inder and Makhambet districts is being intensively carried out," Adil Zhubanov said.

During the trip, the deputies got acquainted with the work of the Sokolok canal, which is being built by Atyrau activists, and a 20-kilometer dam inside the city. According to the akim of Makhambet district, 17 of the 21 settlements are located on the banks of the Zhaiyk River. 85 km of dams out of 100 planned have already been built.

Majilis deputy Edil Zhanbyrshin discussed with residents measures to protect against floods on his own. To prevent flooding, it is important to surround each village with dams, as well as to make supplies of medicines, food and fuel.

Majilisman Rinat Zaitov visited the Aksuat district of the Abai region. Together with the akim of the district, he examined the bridge over the Bogas River damaged as a result of floods and the Satbayev – Aksuat road of regional significance, discussed the upcoming work on their restoration.

The bridge leading from Aksuat to the village of Kindikty was washed away due to the flooding of the Bogas River, and road communication with the district center was temporarily interrupted. However, local executive bodies began to correct the situation urgently.

As part of the trip to the regions, deputies Aina Musralimova and Daulet Mukayev visited several districts of the Akmola region. The situation in the village of Zhibek Zholy in the Arshaly district has now become more complicated due to the flooding of the Nura River. The water level is measured every two hours. A dam was built out of 35,000 sandbags, and 50 units of special equipment were mobilized.

Then the deputies got acquainted with the situation in the village of Talapker in the Tselinograd district. Although the yards were flooded a few days ago, the situation has now stabilized.

In turn, Majilismen Kazybek Alishev and Askar Sadykov met with residents of the village of Kumsai in Aktobe region. 39 houses, 1 farm and 1 business facility were flooded here. Currently, 27 houses in the village are uninhabitable.

Earlier, during a meeting with deputies of the Mazhilis, the villagers said they did not want to leave their homes and livestock. Kumsai residents asked for assistance in providing them with warm wagons where they could live until the construction of new houses. Now such wagons have been delivered to the village and connected to electricity, deputies control the resettlement of residents and provide all necessary assistance.

The threat of overflow of two reservoirs in Aktobe has disappeared. About 300 tons of humanitarian aid have been collected for the victims. 206 people received one-time social payments in the amount of 64 million tenge.
