Deputies remain in flood-affected regions until the situation is fully stabilized

April 11. Large amounts of water continue to arrive in settlements in the northern and western regions of the country. The deputies of the Mazhilis remain in place to control the situation. They help with the organization of flood control works, as well as explain measures of state support to residents affected by flooding.

Deputy Ekaterina Smyshlyaeva is located in Kostanay region. Here she held meetings with representatives of departmental structures and residents of the villages of Altynsarino and Michurino of Kostanay region, which were affected by floods. 141 houses were flooded in Altynsarino, 34 houses in Michurino.

At the moment, the most important thing is to ensure the safety of people, to minimize the material losses of citizens. We will work together with the district akimat so that the members of the commission assess the condition of the houses. Until the situation is completely stabilized, we will stay in place and keep the situation under control," Ekaterina Smyshlyaeva noted.

She also explained to residents the state support measures available to the victims, spoke in detail about the procedures for obtaining financial assistance, compensation and others. At the meeting, the distribution of humanitarian aid was organized: food packages, clothing and basic necessities.

Majilismen Kazybek Alishev, Amanzhol Altay and Askar Sadykov continue to work in the Aktobe region. They met with residents of the Wilsky district, which was most affected by the floods. Now the flooded section of the road leading to the village of Uil has been repaired, and traffic has begun along it. The deputies discussed with local executive bodies measures to accelerate the restoration of the bridge.

In turn, people worry about housing. Currently, military tents have been set up for residents whose houses were flooded, and funds have been allocated from the district budget for the construction of wooden houses.

Deputies Aina Musralimova, Gaukhar Tanasheva and Daulet Mukayev visited several districts of the Akmola region. In the city of Atbasar, the level of the Jabai River has exceeded the critical mark and is 4.5 meters. Work is underway to strengthen and erect additional earthworks. The forces and means of akimats, emergency departments of Akmola and Zhambyl regions, cadets, military personnel and volunteers are involved. 123 people have been evacuated so far.

In the Yesilsky district, there was a threat of flooding of settlements due to water retention in the Yesil River and the overflow of its tributary, the Kyzyl Su River. In this regard, over the past day, rescuers evacuated 461 people from the villages of Leninskoye, Igilik and Svobodnoye. At the moment, flood control measures are continuing.

Majilismen Yerkebulan Mambetov, Dmitry Koloda and Bakytzhan Bazarbek got acquainted with the readiness of the regional center of the North Kazakhstan region to confront the elements. A flood peak is expected in Petropavlovsk this week. Water is moving into the city from the Sergeyevsky hydroelectric complex, affecting a number of villages along the way, including Pokrovka and Novonikolskoye.

The main task is safety. I saw that the population, the akims of rural districts did not take everything seriously. And this is a huge water level. People have a distrust regarding compensation for property. That is why we are here, we make it clear that payments for the consequences of the flood will be made to all those affected. We will work on this," Yerkebulan Mambetov stressed.

Work is currently underway to strengthen the dam in the Podgora microdistrict. In the village of Zarechny, police and emergency personnel are evacuating residents from the flood zone, but 47 people refuse to leave their homes. The deputies held explanatory talks with them. On the same day, they got acquainted with the situation at the Petropavlovsk hydroelectric complex and visited the dam in the village of Kozhevenny.

Deputy Azat Peruashev also works in the region. Today, he examined the eastern bank of the Ishim River, and a rise in the water level is predicted within the next few hours. The Mazhilisman also met with residents of the village of Teplichnoye, handed over rubber boats and overalls for rescue operations. The plans include other settlements that are in the flood zone.
