PONOMAREV Sergey Mikhailovich
Member of the Committee on Ecology and Environmental management of Mazhilis of Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan
Education - higher, military rank - retired captain.
From 1978 to 1980, after graduating from high school, he worked as a concrete worker-assembler at the Universitystroy construction trust of Alma-Atastroy in Almaty, participating in the construction of Al-Farabi Kazakh State University, the Auezov Kazakh Drama Theater, and the Baikonur Cinema.
From 1980 to 1982, he served in the army in Bereznyaki, on the Urals.
From 1983 to 1986, he worked as a multiplexer operator at the Republican Radio-Television Center in Almaty.
In 1988, he graduated from KazGU with a degree in Journalism.
From 1986 to 1991, he worked as an editor and presenter at Kazakh Radio.
From 1991 to 1998, he was a correspondent and news anchor at KTK television channel.
From 1998 to 2003, he worked as a commentator and news anchor at the Habar agency, while also collaborating with NTV (Russia) and reporting on Central Asia.
From 2003 to 2006, he headed the Central Asian bureau of Channel One (Russia) in Almaty.
From 2007 to 2012, he worked as an advisor to the President for Public Relations at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
From 2009 to 2011, he hosted the program "Barmysym, Bauyrym" on Habar TV channel.
From 2011 to 2014, he hosted the program "Portrait of the Week" on KTK TV channel.
Since 2020, he has been the chairman of the Public Council of Jilstroysberbank JSC.
From 2018 to 2021, he was a member of the Public Council of Almaty. Deputy of the Maslikhat of the city of Almaty, VII convocation. Prominent public figure, eco-activist.
Since March 2023, he has been a deputy of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, VIII convocation, from Almaty, elected from the party list of the "AMANAT" party.
